Yes, the last election was an unusual authorization for a new
government in history among democratic rules of game. But
Hungary has shown unusual solutions to situations many times
in her long history. Now she is one of the small countries trying
to get along and find new ways that may also mean the change
of certain institutions and their presently known and visionised
role. The former government proved to be corrupt in Hungary,
ways that led to nowhere but to even a worse position. Today it
is widespread in the international news and official platforms to
attack and criticize Hungary and her government and their
attempts. But how could a committed government bring change
without reshaping the old structures? The task is ours and must
be solved by us. One can read only about what bad the
Hungarian government found out again: democracy is in
danger. The country is practically in a dictatorship. Hungary
from this respect is as safe a place as any other country in
Europe and all those who seem desperate also know it.
I know in politics things happen rarely on a random way. Deeds
are interdependent. Nevertheless, my dream is that a leading
power or politician need not take part in trifles, well planned
abuses: echoing things as facts without proper insight.
                                                th
Hungarians despite the history of the 20 century’s facts always
keep Europe and the US in high esteem and link ideals with that
land and people despite having been forlorn when help was
needed. My grandfather, who used to be an MP before WWII
and who shared our history having been chased by the Gestapo
as well as by the “legal” police of the puppet government of the
Soviets after the war, had lived abroad for eight years. I learnt a
lot from this generation and do not wish to give up my ideals
either. We know what real democracy means but bad ideals’
