                         I. Telling the time (or How to tell the time?)
            We­measure­time­by­clocks­and­watches.­On­their­dial­(or­face)­there­are­twelve­
          figures­(or­numbers)­and­two­or­three­hands.­The­little­hand­shows­the­hours,­the­
          big­one­shows­the­minutes­and­the­third­one­shows­the­seconds.­
            In­an­hour­there­are­sixty­minutes.­In­a­minute­there­are­sixty­seconds.­(How­
          many­seconds­are­in­an­hour­then?)­In­the­first­thirty­minutes­(or­first­half­an­hour)­
          of­an­hour­we­tell­the­time­by­the­word­past,­in­the­second­thirty­minutes­we­tell­
          it­by­the­word­to.
          For­instance:
            It­is­just­(or­exactly,­precisely)­twelve­o’clock,­it­is­five­past­twelve,­it­is­fifteen­
          (or­a­quarter)­past­twelve,­it­is­twenty-five­past­twelve,­it­is­half­past­twelve,­it­is­
          twenty-five­to­one,­it­is­a­quarter­to­one,­it­is­just­one­o’clock.

          Ti me expressions:­– What is the time? (or What time is it?).
                           – Can you tell me the time, please?
                           – What time does our lesson begin? (or start?)
                           – Does your watch keep good time? (or Is your watch accurate?)
                           – What is wrong with it? (– It is fast. – It is slow.)
                           – How much fast is it ? (or It is five minutes fast.)
